When disaster struck, Phil and his family were left without a place to stay. A home fire meant that he and the rest of the family of 4 had to be relocated to temporary, all-inclusive, furnished housing for several months while their insurance company and contractors repaired the damage. Straight after the fire, the family were staying in a cramped hotel in Brandon. Not only was it too small, it was hugely expensive, and very uncomfortable. To add to this, Phil is a remote worker and works from home full time. Working from the tiny hotel desk and uncomfortable chair was just asking for trouble, especially as repairs were going to take months to complete.
When Phil contacted us, we were able to provide him and his family a beautiful, ground floor, three-bed two-bath rental, complete with a perfect office space in the third bedroom, meaning he could work comfortably and productively. They ended up staying for 9 months in total, a whole 4 months longer than they’d originally planned, when repairs on their home were delayed. During their stay with us, we were able to work with Phil and his family directly, extending when necessary, and allowing him the flexibility he needed with a 30-day notice period. It was a pleasure to accommodate his needs and timeline, and to make a stressful situation that little bit easier to manage.
